Academic Excellence at ICS


At Immaculate Conception School, we educate the whole child—academically, spiritually, socially and physically. Our comprehensive curriculum provides students with a strong academic foundation while encouraging curiosity, creativity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning with Christ at the center.

Students receive focused instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies, complemented by religion, fine arts, music, physical education, health and technology. Our teachers use research-based instructional practices and a variety of learning experiences to meet students where they are, challenge them to grow and help them reach their full potential.

Learning Beyond the Textbook
At ICS, learning is active and engaging. Students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, collaborate with others and apply what they learn to real-world situations.

STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics—is an important part of that experience. Through hands-on activities, problem solving and exploration, students develop the critical-thinking and analytical skills that will prepare them for high school, college and an ever-changing world.

The Strength of a Catholic Education
Academic excellence is a longstanding hallmark of Catholic education. The most recent 2024 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), also known as the Nation's Report Card, shows Catholic-school students continuing to outperform their public-school peers in both reading and mathematics at the fourth- and eighth-grade levels.

Our smaller school community allows teachers to know their students as individuals, recognize their strengths, support them when they struggle and celebrate their growth.
