Mrs.
Frances Toal, in memory of her husband, recognized that Immaculate
Conception School has many prominent and successful graduates, and
believing that children need important role models, created this
alumni achievement award program to recognize alumni of ICS who's
professional distinction, civic leadership, their Catholic faith,
service to community, and individual accomplishments of of the highest
esteem. The real beneficiaries are the current and future generations
of students of Immaculate Conception School!
Each
year, one male and one female graduate, having distinguished themselves
in their professional life, where they exemplify leadership and
ethical standards will be awarded the James J. Toal, Ph.D. Alumni
Achievement Award.
In
the Fall of 2001, the Toal family permanently endowed this alumni
achievement program to cover overhead expenses of this program.
Gifts to support this program are welcome. We seek the assistance
of alumni to nominate classmates and alumni beginning with members
of the classes of 1917 through 1967.
Candidates
shall be distinguished in their lifes work, worthy endeavors,
and in deeds and actions which reflect and recognize the importance
of their Catholic education at Immaculate Conception School. Candidates
for the award will only be considered by application.
Please contact the development office or use
the Website to receive a nomination application or contact us
for further information. December
1 is the latest date that nominations will be accepted.
The
James J. Toal, Ph. D. Alumni Achievement Awards Dinner is annually
held the first week of May. Selected recipients are invited back
to Immaculate Conception to share their lifetime experiences with
